Showy Rattlebox (Crotalaria spectabilis) may look pretty, but it has
looks to kill. The invasive plant's prolific seed pods and ability to
persist in tough soil conditions means this plant can easily
out-compete native grass and other desirable species. We're gathering
our mighty Girl Scouts to learn aout invasive plants and the best way
to fight local invasives. Afterwards we'll get our hands on and work
together to hand remove these invasive plants from the park's
restoration areas.

Girl Scouts Loves the State Parks patch will be provided for each
registered Girl Scout girl at the conclusion of the program.
This program is for 2024-25 registered Girl Scout girls and 2020-21
registered and background-checked adults.
For safety and
supervision reasons, troops and individuals are not permitted to bring
non-Girl Scouts or siblings.
Girl/adult ratios must be followed
unless otherwise indicated in the program description. Adults are
expected to stay on the premises.
Cancellation and
Refunds:
All cancellation and refund requests must be
received in writing (email) before Close Date. You will receive
confirmation via email if the request has been approved. If the
program is cancelled due to weather, low registration numbers or other
unforeseen circumstance, you will be notified via email to the email
listed at the time of registration. Plans to reschedule, postpone, or
cancel the program will be included in this email. All registrants
will be given the option to reschedule (if option is available) or
receive a refund at the time of cancellation. Refunds may only be
credited to the credit card account used at the time of
purchase.
