Participate in a one-mile walk in support of Alzheimer's with the
residents of Sunrise Senior Living. Help set up and man their booth,
assist seniors attending the ceremony, and walk along side staff and
residents in this multigenerational event in Heming Park.
All instruction and supplies will be provided. Even better, the
Sunrise seniors are facilitating the event, exposing girls to working
with another generation. If your girls have not been exposed to a
senior living facility before, it is recommended that you show them
the first 10 minutes for Disney's movie "Up". It helps them
understand that these seniors were once just like them.

patch is not provided for this event.
* This event is for 2019-20 registered Girl Scouts, and registered
& approved adult volunteers.
* For safety and supervision
reasons, troops and individuals are not permitted to bring non- Girl
Scouts or siblings.
* Girl/adult ratios must be followed unless
otherwise indicated in the program description. Adults are expected to
stay on the premises and in some cases, help girls during the event.
