Earn your Brownie Pets Badge at the Jacksonville Humane Society! Learn what different pets need, how to keep a pet comfy, how to help a pet stay healthy and safe, how to feed a pet, and how to make a pet feel loved. Make toys, treats, and other enrichment items for the homeless animals at JHS and maybe even meet a dog or kitten! Snacks will be provided.
Program Location: Jacksonville Humane Society, 8464 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32216
Program Date/Time: November 1, 2025; 10 AM to Noon EST
Program Fees: $25/Girl Scout, $0/Adult
Registration is required for attendance even when there is no cost to attend. This is for us to ensure we have correct information on the roster for the program partner and maintain girl-adult ratio for safety which is our top priority.
Additional Details:
- A Pets badge will be provided for each registered Girl Scout girl at the conclusion of the program.
- This program is for 2025-26 registered Girl Scout girls and 2025-26 registered and background-checked adults.
- For safety and supervision reasons, troops and individuals are not permitted to bring non-Girl Scouts or siblings.
- Girl/adult ratios must be followed unless otherwise indicated in the program description. Adults are expected to stay on the premises.
Cancellation and Refunds:
All cancellation and refund requests must be received in writing (email) before Close Date. You will receive confirmation via email if the request has been approved. If the program is cancelled due to weather, low registration numbers or other unforeseen circumstance, you will be notified via email to the email listed at the time of registration. Plans to reschedule, postpone, or cancel the program will be included in this email. All registrants will be given the option to reschedule (if option is available) or receive a refund at the time of cancellation. Refunds may only be credited to the credit card account used at the time of purchase.
