Become a certified lifeguard with the American Red Cross in this dynamic two-weekend course! You'll learn essential skills, including water rescues, CPR, first aid, and emergency response techniques, all while gaining the confidence to keep swimmers safe in any situation. Participants who successfully complete the Lifeguarding course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for 2 years. This course takes two weekends to complete April 10-12 & April 17-19, 2026.
Participants MUST be able to complete both weekends and do the following:
- Swim 550 yards continuously using front crawl or breast stroke,
- Demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing,
- Tread water for two minutes without arms
- Surface dive retrieve a 10 pound weight then swim back to start point with weight
- Swim underwater.

Additional Details:
An American Red Cross Lifeguarding and Water Front Module
certification will be awarded to participants who successfully
complete the program.
For safety and supervision reasons,
individuals are not permitted to bring non-Girl Scouts, siblings, or children.
Cancellation and Refunds:
All cancellation and refund requests must be received in writing (email) before March 29, 2026. You will receive confirmation via email if the request has been approved. If the program is cancelled due to weather, low registration numbers or other unforeseen circumstance, you will be notified via email to the email listed at the time of registration. Plans to reschedule, postpone, or cancel the program will be included in this email. All registrants will be given the option to reschedule (if option is available) or receive a refund at the time of cancellation. Refunds may only be credited to the credit card account used at the time of purchase.
