Night to Shine - Summer Kick-Off - Community 3 Volunteer Hosted Event - SA - Orange Park - May 30th
Please note you are registering for a community volunteer led event. This event is not led by Gateway Council staff.
Night to Shine is our End of Year Girl Scout Sleepover Party, and we
are excited to celebrate an incredible year of growth, friendship, and
service together. The event will begin with drop off at 5:00 p.m., and
dinner will be provided. Pick up will be promptly at 8:00 a.m. the
following morning, and a light breakfast will be served before
departure.
Girls should bring a sleeping bag and
pillow, along with pajamas and basic toiletries. Air mattresses or
cots are welcome if preferred.
Registered Girl Scouts may
bring one additional non-Girl Scout guest who is age 13 or older. This
event is limited to female participants only.
During the
evening, the girls will participate in community service projects by
making dog toys and creating tote bags from outdated but new Girl
Scout shirts. These projects allow us to give back in a meaningful and
creative way.
We will be watching The Sisterhood of the
Traveling Pants, The Devil Wears Prada, Freaky Friday (2003 version),
and Uptown Girls. All movies are rated PG or PG-13. Parents may choose
to have their Scout opt out of any specific movie if desired, and
preferences can be noted at registration.
As part of our
community give back effort, we ask each family to consider donating
old towels or blankets for the local animal shelter. Pet treats, toys,
and leashes are also appreciated.
A commemorative event
patch will be included for all registered participants, including Girl
Scouts, adults, and approved guests. We look forward to a special
evening of celebration, service, and sisterhood.
